Paul Newman Cabinet Making is a sole trader, small business based in Townsville, Queensland. The owner has a passion for creating and designing custom made kitchens to suit customer’s needs. He specialises in two pack and stone bench tops, vanities, laundry cupboards, built-in wardrobes, study/office desks, kitchen renovations and flat-pack kitchens.
The client's vision of the website was very simple, but dramatic, with the business's specialites front and centre, and easy to discover. The owner wished to give a personal feel, with a description of himself on the home page. The potential customer needed to drawn to contact the business for a quote.
Home Page
The home page contained an About section and a visually interesting tabbed section of the various specialties/suppliers that the client offered/used.
A gallery of the business's current and previous projects is essential for this type of business and so the client provided images that were arranged into an slideshow type gallery. This gallery could be changed or expanded as required.
The client wished to be able to carry out small website changes and therefore, the website was developed using a Joomla Content Management System (CMS). A simple tutorial in the operation of the CMS is included in the website design fee or LMM Design Envision is happy to carry out updates for the client as requested (fee for updates is based on an hourly rate).
