My path in life sometimes flows in directions that seem daunting or challenging at first, but I am always amazed at the serendipitous nature of where life’s path lands me. As a qualified Mechanical Engineer, former Home and Landscaping Designer, Building Estimator, Draftsperson and Interior Design Diploma Graduate, life has lead me on a great adventure to find out about how things are designed.
This path has lead me into the world of Graphic and Website Design, where I now envision and create with others, sharing in their life paths.
Here, I combine the challenge of designing and troubleshooting websites, which requires a combination of creative, technical and problem solving skills, with Graphic Design, which is a diverse and wide ranging field of design. Projects range from a small simple Business Card, to a huge Advertisement, to a comprehensive Magazine.
My Rates
My fees will vary, depending on the Project and what’s involved. However, as a rough guide, the majority of the Graphic Design work I do is currently based on an hourly rate of $90.00/hour AUD. As an example, flyers on average may take around 2-3 hours if a solid idea of the client’s required style and what they want to say are known.
As for websites, a simple site with 5 pages, including Home page, About page, and couple of information pages and a Contact page would currently be $1900.00 AUD. The fees will increase from here for more complicated sites, e-commerce sites etc. For website management, updates etc. my current fee is $90.00/hour AUD.
