Rowlands Surveys, located in Townsville, is one of North Queensland’s largest and most well-respected surveying firms. Known for its exceptional work across a wide range of projects, Rowlands takes on the smallest of residential jobs through to major land, commercial and infrastructure projects, solar farms and commercial developments.
Rowlands contacted LMM Design Envision as their existing website was out of date and their previous Website Designers were going out of business. LMM Design Envision assisted them in the transition to a new Hosting Service and website, whilst keeping the old site online until the new site was ready to launch, keeping offline time to a minimum.
The new website was designed around the look of the client’s existing logo and branding. The client was able to develop new, up-to-date content once the general layout was decided and this is displayed in an interesting, but simple way with not too many “bells and whistles”.
The new website utilises the WordPress Content Management System and the Divi block style Template. We share a tutorial document which enables the client to understand the CMS and do some editing on their own if they wish. LMM Design Envision is always around to help if the need arises.
The website firstly shares why the business is the best for the job, emphasising great service and quality outputs.
The range of services offered is shown in a visual way with image button links to relevant pages of the website.
Testimonials are to be added in the future, always important for a business to display. Industry associations are also important for company standing in the industry they serve.
The footer section is repeated throughout the website (other than the Contact Us Page) containing contact information, in order for visitors to easily connect with the business.
The About page displays the history of the business and emphasises the local team aspects and long term employment of the business, becoming a rare thing in this day and age. Team member bios are displayed to give a personalised, familiar feel, whilst keeping the professional look of the site.
The Services pages contain visual and written details of each service in an interesting but efficient way, with examples of outputs of each service.
Contacts are shown on the Footer of every page other than the Contact Us page itself. On the Contact Us page, the contacts are displayed in a similar style, but front and centre, along with a map showing the location of the business.
Office hours are also shown on the Contact page, as well as on the Top Secondary Menu, so that visitors can find them easily.
