The Sundalah Wellness Festival was a unique event with the intention to bring people together through a wide range of wellness focused choices. The Festival included two weeks of classes, workshops, and experiences, hosted by Sundalah’s CommUNITY Members, supporting physical, mindful, social, and spiritual interests at many locations across Townsville and Magnetic Island. The goal was to create more positive commUNITY connections and showcase wellness opportunities in the city.
The design incorporated a relatively complicated purchasing and registration system on a tight budget, as well as a website design look that coordinated with the branding that was developed by Jasmine’s other Graphic Designer. It was a great challenge and opportunity to see what could be done with an open source Content Management System, WordPress, the Divi Block Template System by Elegant Themes and associated plugins.
The result was a fun, colourful and informative Festival website with functionality and the ability to provide attendee management via Event and Ticketing plugins.
Various buttons are placed throughout to encourage the visitor to view the Festival Program and purchase Passes or Tickets to the various Events.
Scroll animations of various objects give a fun and festive vibe to the website.
The Festival Sponsors are shown on each page of the website, and the footer gives thanks to the client’s membership and promotes the client’s main Membership Website as a further main business promotion. Links to external websites aid in search engine ranking and stimulate the circular economy of the business.
Each event/session page includes a map and details of the event/session and it’s location, a short summary of the event/session and links to relevant flyers, purchase pages and/or the hosting member profile on the main business website.
Once checkout is complete the purchaser receives a receipt and a Pass or Ticket in their email. Festival Pass holders are then requested to continue on to the Program Options page, where they are able to RSVP to their preferred classes, workshops or talks in the program. These RSVPs are tabulated and are to be sent to the relevant Host before the date of the session.
